Online scientific calculator
Free online scientific calculator: sine, cosine, tangent, root, power, log, ln, π and parentheses.
How the calculation works
Type the expression with the buttons and see the result in real time; press = to lock it. It respects the order of operations and parentheses.
- √, x^y: square root and power.
- sin, cos, tan: trig functions — toggle DEG / RAD with the button.
- log (base 10), ln (base e), π and e.
- %: turns a value into its fraction (e.g. 50% = 0.5).
Frequently asked questions
How to compute sine of 30 degrees?
Set the button to DEG, type sin(30) and press =. The result is 0.5.
Does it follow the order of operations?
Yes. Multiplication and division come before addition and subtraction; use parentheses to force the order.
DEG vs RAD?
The angle unit for trig functions: DEG uses degrees (common in school), RAD uses radians. sin(30) in DEG is 0.5; in RAD it differs.
